IAMOT 2019 | 28th International Conference on Management of Technology
(April 07th - April 11th 2019)

National Institute of Industrial Engineering
Management of Technology PhD/ Doctoral Colloquium
Date: 9th April 2019, Tuesday
Duration: 2-5PM

The Ph.D. colloquium is meant to help Ph.D / Doctoral candidates specialised in Management of Technology selecting the research topic, develop the research instruments, and managing their research project.

12 to 15 Ph.D. students will be selected to present their research activities. Other students and faculty advisors may attend the session and benefit from the debate.

Research in the domain of technology management is deemed beneficial and successful if it can help answer the fundamental question of “How technology be Managed?’ Here, the outcome is not the focus. Similarly, it is not purely on the process.
1. The colloquium would be a platform to share, unlearn and learn in areas of methodology, models, methods and system thinking.
2. Technology management is an interdisciplinary field (or is it multidisciplinary?) and hence, this colloquium is not traditional department specific.
3. The doctoral colloquium invites submissions from Ph.D. / Fellow candidates who are in their mid level of research / thesis associated to Technology / Innovation / Intellectual Property / Strategy Management.

The session will be of 3 hours. The faculty and practitioner experts would provide the initial foundation on Technology Management research, the future challenges and research opportunities.

This would be followed by having cohorts of doctoral students associated with three experts in each cohort. At the end of the cohort discussion, a summary of the learning would be put up as a poster by each student for display to the conference participants on that day.
